The short version
Obelisk transcribes air-traffic-control audio entirely on your device. Your audio and the resulting transcripts never leave your iPhone or iPad and are never sent to us — there is no transcription server. This website and account system store only what we need to run your subscription.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address, an optional name, and a securely hashed password.
- Subscription data: your subscription status and billing period, mirrored from Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe and never touch our servers.
- Interest signups: an email address if you ask to be notified about the release.
What the app collects
Nothing is sent to us from the app. Audio capture, the Whisper model, correction and diarization all run locally. The app may fetch public data directly from third parties you enable — for example live ADS-B traffic or a LiveATC stream — under those providers' own terms.
Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe acts as our payment processor and handles your card information under its own privacy policy. We receive only a customer identifier and your subscription status.
Data retention & your rights
You can delete your account at any time by contacting team@obeliskaerospace.com, which removes your account and subscription records. You may request a copy of the data we hold about you at the same address.
